Graham Langdon
Designer
In the latter half of highschool, Graham began apprenticing under Mark Faggion who had a steady side business designing and building websites. Already possessing a designer's eye and experience with graphics programs, Graham quickly learned the ropes of html/css and advanced CMS configuration. Upon graduating highschool, Graham went to work with Mark full time.
As a member of a small website building team, Graham often played many roles in addition to designer including project manager, content editor, and web administrator. During this time, Graham occasionally worked with RoleModel on projects needing an extra aesthetic touch.
When Mark phased out his website business in order to accept a full-time Project Management Consulting position, Graham took the opportunity to focus on his university studies while freelancing his design work on the side.
In summer of 2009, Graham began doing regular design work for RoleModel beginning with the
Farriers United
project. He quickly became the go-to guy whenever something doesn't look or feel right on the screen. Though his past experience dealt mainly in the php/html/css world, he has quickly adapted to the rails environment becoming proficient with compass, haml, and sass. More than just making designs that "look pretty", Graham strives to use type, color, and line purposefully to optimize user experience. Most of our
projects
since Graham started working here feature his design work. Graham is also responsible for instructing the
apprentices
in design principles and practices.
Some examples of Graham's recent design work with RoleModel:
Graham is currently finishing a bachelor's in IT Security with a minor in Graphic Design at Campbell University. Graham married in summer of 2010. He and his wife, Sarah, live in Holly Springs, NC.
